It's been a long, boring day.

And maybe a little bit thoughtful.

There are fishermen on the Duwamish river all of a sudden. They weren't there last week and now they're all over the riverbank in their waders and fishing hats. I guess it must be salmon-spawning season. Come to think if it I did see fish jumping in the river when I went walking today.

I marvel at my own obliviousness.

In other wildlife-related news, I saw a bunny and more than one flock of geese feeding in the grass when I walked this afternoon. The geese are migrating, and there are more of them this week than there were last. Maybe they're coming for the salmon too.

I'm sure bunnies don't eat salmon.

The Sport of... um... Cheese Fans?

I must have lived a sheltered life, as I have never before heard of the sport of Cheese Racing. When I first heard of this noble sport, I envisioned rolling great red wheels of cheese downhill. Sort of like box-derby racing. It turns out that life is indeed stranger than fiction. Cheese Racing is actually accomplished on a barbeque.
