History is as you write it

There's a wonderful bit of history being made, in the verification of the accuracy of the Icelandic Sagas. A recent archaeological dig in Iceland has unearthed what appears to be the homestead of the first Scandinavian born in the Americas. This throws an interesting spin on the rather hostile attitude of post-industrial historians toward ancient records, which are often considered to be unreliable.

Personally I don't think modern history is a whole lot more accurate.

The Real Reasons

Sheilagh sends me the best stuff. She is my new best friend. Though actually, we've been friends for 17 years so I guess the word "new" isn't really applicable.

This little animation comes from a Bush Adminstration press briefing explaining the reasons
Why the US Must Invade Iraq Right Now.

It wouldn't be so funny if it weren't so close to the truth.
