The good news is that I'm about half-done, and the story is about half way through. I think.

Argh. I have ten days to write 30,000 words. Argh.

The story is progressing, however. I still love these characters - they're getting more shapely, meaning they are gaining definition. I'm finding myself asking questions about them, curious about their past, their loves and hates. I just hope they can explain to me what's supposed to happen next.

Not as much progress as I'd hoped for over the weekend. Kinda got stuck, but seem to be un-stuck now. Plot is slowly taking shape. I'm getting fond of these characters, but Friederick is threatening to upstage the lead character. Can't have that. Have promised him the lead role in the next book. Hope he will cooperate.
